Every employee is entitled to three national holidays i.e. 26 th Jan Republic day, 15 th Aug Independance day and 2 nd Oct Mahatama gandhi birth day.Four or five other holidays on any of the festivals speceified in the shedule aappended to the (State) Industrial Establishment (National & Festival Holidays And Casual And Sick Leave) Act Please look into the Act applicable to your state.
