I am HR Professional in a firm. Recently one of our X-employee re-joined with us. I have already closed his previous file when he was leaved our firm. According I have opened his new file as he joined once again. I have a quarry, shall I open a new file for him or continue his previous file. Pls help out me.

I think you have to open a new file for the employee, as the person had left the organization & re-joining, you have to calculate his service period only from the date he rejoined.If you are generating employee code, you need to generate a fresh one.
If case of maintaining personal file, it's better to get a fresh one but if you want you can use the previous personal file of that employee.Make sure you have a copy of his releaving letter in the file.

No, you have to treat him/her as a fresh employee if he/she had quit the company and rejoined. If you again continue with it then you have to calculate days worked when it comes to paying graduity.
There are many complications. Better consult you boss/ super boss so that you are not anwerable if there are issues arising due to re openeing of file.

You have to consider him as a new employee n go for new personal file. The old file is no way connected with his new employment.

Rejoining does not indicate continuous service. For statutory provisions like P.F.,E.S.I.,Gratuity,Leaves etc. you have to allot new PF No. & has to be opened new file. But if you don't want show for above provision break in service treating that he is on leave then you can continue previous file & not need allot new P.F.No. there is no service break. The condition is that in the mean period he had to not work in other orgn. so that he has to be treated that he is having continous service.

You need to continue the old file.
An employee's file suppose to relate the employment history thta he has with the Company. Additional reasons for keeping the old file are
1. Given the time that he has re-joined the company, there may some statutory requiremements for continuation of benefits
2. You may want to view any disciplinary records from his first period of employment for trending
