Contractual Labor should be recruited through Contractors only who have PF, ESIC, PTAX, Labor Welfare Fund etc. compliance. Every month before processing bill of contractors , it is essential to check compliance status of the PF, ESIC, PTAX etc.
One thing is essential to remember that contractors will not pay anything from their pocket. Therefore, contract agreement must specify that all statutory payments or any other payments the PE is interested to pay must be reimbursed by the PE. Contractor will get service on % basis or fixed rate per employee per month.
All statutory registers should be maintained by the Contractors TO BE CHECKED BY PE. It will be better if there is periodical audit at least twice in a year. Welfare, health & safety etc. should be taken care by PE.
