Certainly yes, we have to give weekly off to contract labour also. The payment of wages to contract labour being made by the contractor, you need not pay it directly to them but the contractor has to pay it provided he has hired them as monthly rated. Of course if he bills it to you, you should honour it.

Normally the contract workers are daily rated or else as per the Notification of the Govt, the monthly wages shall be divided by 26 days to arrive @ the daily wages - therefore weekly off becomes automatically paid days and you need not pay wages for weekly off seperately.
