There is doubt about the authenticity of this. Don't believe everything you read.
Look at the photos, there is a phone is sitting on the seat intact. The battery from another phone on the floor is also intact, if it caused the problem, it would have been shattered. Something more serious is likely to have caused this damage, not a cell phone.

This is just an alert for everyone.. It is up to you whether or not, you follow it..
It is better to be careful rather than researching...
FYI, I have personally experienced these kind of battery explosion in larger scale like UPS batteries, when temperature shoots up... No doubt / surprise, it is the general property of the batteries..
