Even if all the preliminaries have gone well, don't be cavalier and start imagining how you'll start spending your new salary. The biggest error you can make is to assume that, because you've gotten this far, the job is in the bag.

One more thing where candidates do mistake is Homework about the company, While going for any interview one should always do some research work about the company and the culture. Ones you are updated you can present yourself very well and confidently.

Really a very good post - not only for fresh job seekers, but even the most experienced make these mistakes. May I emphasize on
1. Failing to research the company before appearing for the interview. (Also emphasized by Harshal above)
2. Not preparing well enough on the reason why one is wanting to join the organization.
Thats also because most people appear for an interview not because they want to join the orgranization, but because someone called them over for the interview. If I get the job, very good, I will decide to join or not. If I dont get the job, nice experience anyways. But if I really had a good reason to change or work with that orgranization, I will not be required to fake a reason.
Most people quote "Growth" as a reason for change. But would fumble the moment you ask them WHAT IS GROWTH. Some relate growth to money, some to designation, some to fringe benefits, rarely anyone emphasizes on growth being related to the job PROFILE.
If one has researched the cmopany well enough AND is clear WHY s/he needs the job, the reason will be natural and more convincing.
