I am working as HR executive in an IT company situated at Mumbai. I'm the only HR in my company. We Have 6 Days Week Working Culture And We Have Weekly Off On Sunday. Around 50 employees are working in my company. Our office timing is 10 am to 6 pm. As being a IT company attrition rate is too high. So I'm planning to implement Saturday off policy in my company. I think it will be a motivational factor for employees.

I spoke with management regarding the same. They told me to give detailed report on it. Currently we have general shift only but in future if we want to start 1st and 2nd shift then what will be the timings for those shift and how sat sun off policy will work for them?

We don't want less than 48 working hrs policy. And also don't want alternate sat off policy because our marketing team is working only for 3 hrs on Saturday. so they won't ready to come for full day on Saturday and just because of 3 peoples we don't want to open office.

I request you all to share your views and ideas.

First, be sure whether you want just "5 Days Week" or "5 Days work with alternative weekly off". When you switch to multiple shifts, you can not have weekly off of specific two days to all. As you said that your marketing team comprises of only three people, what is the harm if they work for ONLY 3 hrs on saturdays, if it happens to be a working day to others by rotation?
