I have inquired in all recognized universities in Gujarat, and they have imposed a ban on the registration of Ph.D. for six months. They are stating that the rules are changing through the UGC, and they are introducing an entrance test. Kindly inform me if this ban is also in effect in your state or if the registration process is still ongoing. If so, could you please specify in which recognized university this is happening?

Please visit Rayalaseema University (search Google). Only those with a postgraduate degree of at least second class are eligible, not diploma holders. The study duration is 3 years, and there is no requirement to attend any lectures. Instead, you must write a Pre-Ph.D. examination covering (1) Research Methodology and (2) Human Resource Management. Kindly visit the university's website.
