I am working in M/S Sundaram-Clayton Ltd (SCL), Brakes Division, Chennai, which is a benchmarked company for its TQM practices. SCL has also won many international awards including the Deming Prize, Japanese Quality Medal, F&S Super Platinum Award, TPM, etc. Motivated employees are the key factors for this success, which has come only through Total Employee Involvement (TEI) activities such as QCC, SIT, CFT, Suggestion Scheme, etc. Any Employee Involvement activities like QCC naturally motivate people and bring out the best.
