Hello Ms. Anu,

I wanted to know how management trainees contribute to an organization. How are their salaries computed, considering the fact that they are freshers? What are the pros and cons of having a management trainee in an organization?

Thanks and Regards,
Soumiya V.

Hi Soumiya,

Based on the information I have, a management trainee position varies from industry to industry and even from company to company. As a management trainee, you may be required to undertake HR activities or marketing activities. The starting salary will be very minimal, but it may increase after the probation period if they are satisfied with your performance. If you have any specific questions, please let me know.

Anu

I think formal organizations treat MTs as entry-level employees, excluding perks, ESOPs, and privileges. This is the time when they learn to transition from informal to formal approaches and manage things effectively and uprightly. Their treatment outlines the organization's plan if they are inducted for the long-term perspective. The salary component should be satisfactory, covering their daily food, travel, and lounge expenses, along with some pocket money. Furthermore, the level of detail and the type of work and time invested by them determine their productivity within the chain.

Thank you.

Hello,

Once these management trainees join the organization, how can HR combat the resistance from its existing employees? Many employees are not in favor of the management trainees. How does one position the MTs? Also, what kind of career path do these MTs have in the organization?

MTs have better career options to choose. Employees should not feel threatened; they are add-ons (plug-ins), and now the whole system is built of plugins usually. Proper policy implementation, work assignments, and decision-making can cut costs and improve employee morale.

Thank you.

Hi,

I just completed my MBA in HR. I want to know what kind of jobs I can get into and what the job profiles might be. I understand that the job roles can vary between industries, but I would like to have a general idea about the responsibilities of a trainee in an organization.

Regards,
Warier

Hi, I have just joined a company after completing my MBA in HR and need information on the following:

- MT and GET schemes in the company, i.e., what grade and designation they are brought in at and after training, in what grade are they promoted.
- What is the salary hike given to them post training/probation?
- Rationale for this hike.

It would be great if you could let me know the company name and its scheme. My email id is tanvimankodi@gmail.com.

Thanks a lot.
