Hi,

My name is Monica. I have 7 years of experience in HR recruitment and operations, with experience in administration as well. I was working in a construction company as Deputy Manager HR cum Admin, but the company project completed, and I have been jobless for the last 3 months. I am receiving very few calls from companies. My current package is 3.6 LPA. My query is: Am I working on a low package? What should I do to increase my package?

Dear Monika,

As you mentioned, you were working as a Dy. Manager and earning 3.6 L, which is definitely a low salary compared to other companies. But don't worry, you will definitely receive offers from organizations with a 30-40% hike.

Hi Monica,

As you have mentioned that you have been jobless for the last three months, your top priority should be securing a job rather than focusing on a salary increase. I recommend that you update your profile on various job portals at least twice a week. This will increase your chances of receiving more interview calls and ultimately landing a job.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance or guidance.

Best regards, [Your Name]

Thank you all. I update my profile thrice a week, but get very few opportunities so now pushed to apply for an executive level position again. I live in Noida and don't want to go for jobs in Delhi and Gurgaon as I recently got married. I have 7 years of experience, but I am so demotivated for not cracking the interviews. I am thinking of not continuing with a career in HR now. Please guide me on what to do next.

It's good that you have started acknowledging your weaknesses. After 7 long years, you find that you are not in a position to crack an interview, which implies that you have not recharged yourself with the latest information in these last 7 years. Sorry, I might be wrong. You need to update yourself with all the latest skills and use of HR tools to upgrade yourself. If you could send me your CV, I will be in a better position to point out your areas of improvement.

Mr. Janardhan,

The advice you provided doesn't seem accurate. Would you kindly help all of us understand the basis of stating that "you will get an offer in any organization with a 30-40% hike"? Perhaps if you share the names of such organizations, our fellow members who are searching for employment would surely apply there.
