Hi Keisha,
The code of conduct is a major responsibility of the Organization Effectiveness Department. It comprises all the segments of working, including legal, finance, HR, customers, regulatory affairs, and society as a whole. This varies from organization to organization, with much depending on the management at the top to lay down the code of conduct. It also reflects the historical perspective of an organization. A new setup may follow a ready-made solution, but an ongoing unit can develop something unique.
The issue doesn't stop at having a document or providing training on it. It requires periodic review of the code document, auditing it, and reinventing the code document. If possible and permissible, it's always better to have the code audited by a third party to ensure its effectiveness.
In short, you can collaborate with all like-minded Heads of Departments to prepare a document for your unit.
Please let me know the type of your unit, and I can assist you with the relevant inputs.
Regards,
abhirutu
