Dear Friends,

I am circulating an email from Mr. PV Ramana Murthy of National HRD Network, Delhi & NCR chapter on Condolence and Prayer meeting.

Dear NHRDians, colleagues, and friends,

It is deeply saddening that one of the members of our HR fraternity, Mr. Awanish Dev, has been brutally killed at the Maruti factory in Manesar. It was a gruesome act that needs to be condemned by everybody in society. On my personal behalf and on behalf of all of us at NHRDN - Delhi & NCR Chapter, I condemn this act of brutality. I offer my deepest condolences to his family members. May God almighty rest his soul in peace and give strength to his family members to bear this great loss.

At this moment, my thoughts are with the family members of Awanish and also the people who got injured in the attack. On behalf of all of us, I have visited one of our injured members yesterday and conveyed our sympathies and shock. We also plan to visit Awanish's house soon to convey our deepest condolences to his wife and son. I request each one of you to have your prayers for Awanish and his family. I also request you to have your thoughts around the people who have been injured in the violence and pray for their speedy recovery and well-being.

I am in receipt of the emails sent across by some of you, expressing concern and suggesting future action steps by our Chapter, like conducting workshops around the subject of Industrial Relations, etc. I appreciate your concern and communication and assure you that we will take all necessary steps, as required.

We plan to hold a prayer meeting for Awanish in our special event today evening at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Dwarka, New Delhi between 6.00-6.30 PM. Request you to please join the same.

Warm Regards,

PV

Dear Sir,

I am also very shocked by this brutal incident, and I believe that such actions should not occur in the future, even in our dreams. I offer my heartfelt condolences to Avnish Dej's family during this difficult time. I understand that they are going through a challenging period, but time is a great healer, and I am confident that it will bring them comfort.

My family and I pray for Avnish Dej's soul to rest in peace.

Request all of you to watch Crime Patrol's episode on the TUKARAM case. I was literally moved to tears; what the management did was not right at all. They closed down the company, which caused a worker to lose his mental stability, eventually leading to his end in Pakistan from Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra State. In the end, Anup Soni's description of how management treats its workers is heartrending.
