Rotation is not done monthly; actually, rotation should be done weekly. When you have 3 shifts - say A shift, B shift, and C shift - then the shift change is done. C shift moves to B shift, B shift to A shift, and A shift to C shift. Likewise, the change continues.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Dear Sandeep,

Wishing you a Happy New Year.

Let me inform you that the guards' rotation depends on the shift pattern, i.e., whether you are following a 3-shift system or a 2-shift system. If there is a 3-shift system, then you can create a roster providing everyone a weekly off. If it is a 2-shift system, then the rotation can be made every 15 days.

Shailesh

Dear All,

I appreciate Mr. Shaikh Abedeen's effort. However, the example is not complete as the duties for the reliever are not correctly accounted for. Mr. Ravichandran D, at 9600346646, rectified that particular shortcoming with his wonderful example which shows the total number of different shifts. This is likely to ensure that inadvertent errors do not crop up while drawing up the duty chart. I suggest everyone use Mr. Ravichandran's example.

Dear All,

I made a small modification to Mr. Ravichandran's example by adding a line to indicate the actual duties performed. This is likely to be very useful for calculating the wages at the end of the month as more often than not changes are necessitated due to some exigencies or other. Conditional formatting is done for easy comprehension.

A security agency entered into an agreement and deployed 10 security guards and 2 supervisors to a private factory one year ago. Now, the client desires to transfer 3 personnel directly to their payroll without prior agreement from us. Additionally, the client has not settled our bill payment for the past 5 months, whereas we have paid the salary to all guards up to date.

To address this matter, I need to send a polite letter to the client. Could you please provide me with a draft letter?

Thank you.

Dear Expert Seniors,

I am kindly looking for your ideas, notions, and a sample format for creating an 8-hour weekly roster for 13 security personnel. I have 3 posts available, with the morning shift running from 0600 to 1400, the afternoon shift from 1400 to 2200, and the night shift from 2200 to 0600 hours. The morning shift should have 4 personnel, the afternoon shift 4 personnel, and the night shift 3 personnel daily. I am assigned to the morning shift along with 3 others, making a total of 4. Despite my efforts, I have struggled to create the roster, and my manager keeps reprimanding me for it. Can any expert scheduler help me, please?

I should have a day off every Friday after 6 days, and the rotation should apply to the other security personnel as well. I am facing a difficult time managing this rotation. I would greatly appreciate any assistance. I will provide the location names for deployment: ECP-1, ECP-2, and CCTV. For the morning shift, ECP-1, ECP-2, and CCTV will each have 3 security personnel deployed. I will be in charge overall and have no assigned post during the morning shift.

During the afternoon shift, there should be 4 security guards deployed to ECP-1, ECP-2, ECP-3, and CCTV respectively. For the overnight shift, ECP-1, ECP-2, and CCTV require 3 security personnel each night. I am seeking help in assigning the remaining 2 personnel. I would appreciate your assistance in creating the roster. Thank you to anyone who can help.

For morning:

Kiran (myself) - no post

Albert (ECP-1)

Romel (ECP-2)

Jiwan (CCTV)

Afternoon Shift:

Robert (ECP-1)

Patrick (ECP-2)

Bista (ECP-3)

Lama (CCTV)

Overnight Shift:

Chimeng (ECP-1)

Durga (ECP-2)

Austin (CCTV)

I still have 2 personnel left; where and how should I assign them? Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated. Please create a roster for me if you can. Thank you.
