Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) is representing the Asia Pacific Federation of HRM <link updated to site home> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google ) (APFHRM) in organising and hosting the 11th World HR Congress Singapore 2006. The <link no longer exists - removed> provides the platform for exchange, learning, and sharing among business leaders and HR professionals. It will address current HR issd's!apa challenges that organisations and HR practitioners face. One of the key concerns among HR and business leaders is the making of HR as a strategic business partner.
The focus of the Convention will be on turning HR into a strategic role, and how to make organisations realise the importance of sound HR practices for business success. In today's increasingly complex business environment, more and more business and organisational leaders are recognising employees as true capital; the investment that drives business returns. It is, thus, even more crucial for the HR function to ensure that human capital provides the returns to business through sound HR practices and advice.
