Hi all,
I absconded from my first company in 2019 due to its toxic work culture. I had signed a 2-year bond while joining and left after working 6 months. I took up a B.Ed course after that hoping I would find peace in teaching. By the time I completed my course in 2021, it was peak COVID, and schools weren't ready to employ me because they felt I was overqualified.
By 2022, I was hired by an agency to work for a small-time IT company on a contract basis as a fresher. I'm now looking to switch jobs, but without the relieving letter from my first company, it isn't easy because it is reflected on my PF portal.
I was ignorant of how important this relieving letter was because it was my first job.
I tried reaching out to my first company, but they aren't responding to my emails. Everyone I knew in the company has left because it is 6 years now. I tried to go to the company in person but couldn't get past the front gate.
Please, please, someone suggest a solution to this mess. I have completed M.Tech but am unable to get a job because of my actions for which I regret every day.
A friend of mine suggested I take this up to the labor court as a last resort. Please let me know if this is advisable and please let me know if there's a solution.
Thanks in advance.
