Hi All, Can anyone help me with the Earned leave formula?
Shalini S J
Hi Shalini,

I hope you are asking for leave encashment and if so, the formula is as follows
[(Basic Salary + Dearness Allowance) / 30] * No. of Earned Leaves

Earned Leave Formula:
(Number of days worked ÷ Number of days in a year) × Annual leave entitlement

Variables:
Number of days worked: The total number of days the employee has worked in the year.
Number of days in a year: Usually 365 (or 366 in a leap year).
Annual leave entitlement: The number of leave days an employee is entitled to per year (e.g., 20 days).

Example:
If an employee has worked 180 days in the year and is entitled to 20 days of leave annually, the formula will be:

(180 ÷ 365) × 20 = 9.86 days (rounded to 10 days of earned leave).
Hope this clarifies your question. Feel free to get the questions clarified
