What can be done to avoid idle sitting of new joiners at the time of documentation?

In case of Bulk Joining (50 to 90 people), what can be done to avoid new joiners sitting idle at the time of Documentation when their turn has yet to come or be completed?
(NOTE: The industry type is Pharma, where phones are not allowed; hence, they can’t spend time on phones, too)

Please prepare a PPT presentation which talk about Company background, about Management, various HR Policies, welfare measures followed etc and let the new joiners watch it till their turn to do documentation work. You may also add some motivation video about your Company and can run along with the presentation.

You may provide your company policies as outlined above so that they can review them and ask any questions beforehand if they have any confusion. Alternatively, you can create a company brochure that details your organization's background, history, achievements, and other relevant information. Additionally, consider splitting them into groups of 10-15 members and arranging group discussions. These sessions will allow them to interact with and get to know their peers better.

As suggested by members, you can definitely consider making a power point presentation of your Company, Significant milestones, Photograph and brief details of committed, sincere, positive minded employees who have been working in the Company for long years. You can also share with them the Emergency Response System in your organisation. Location of different department, dining halls, wash rooms, organisation chart of different departments, products manufactured, other locations wherein the plant is located etc.,

You can also consider depicting the career progression of employees who have risen to top ranking positions from being a trainee in the organisation.

Another option is to call them in batches with staggered time so they dont all sit there doing nothing.
Remember that idle gossip may result in further problems for you.
