EPFO message for inactive members - How can these accounts be closed? What else needs to be done?

Hi,

We have received the following message from EPFO:

"DEAR EMPLOYER, YOUR ESTABLISHMENT xxxxxx, HAS NEITHER FILED ECR NOR MARKED DATE OF EXIT FOR 10 EMPLOYEES. IT IS REQUESTED TO FILE CORRECT ECR FOR ALL EMPLOYEES AND TIMELY MARK DOE OF ALL EXITED EMPLOYEES. -EPFO"

After verifying the details, I found that these employees left long ago, 5-10 years before. How can these accounts be closed? What else needs to be done? Please guide.

If you have not exited these ten employees, please do so. They might have left you, but you should not have exited them. Please go to the dashboard and identify the active members. If you find them in it, exit them.
