Fixed term employment refers to contract of employment in which a Company hires an employee for a specific period of time which will be subject to renewal after the expiry of the contract, subject to requirement. If the Employment contract prolongs for longer period including renewal of contract period without any break then employee is eligible for Gratuity when the total period of contract exceeds 5 years and above. Provided the employee should have worked for the employer on full time basis and not on part time basis.
