Rule for keeping the attendance muster - Is it mandatory to show all the employees on the muster roll?

Is it mandatory to show all the employees on the muster roll for the shop and establishment? Do we have to maintain a muster for all the employees?

In Maharashtra, all offices with 10 or more people have to register and get a license. Once you have a license, you need to show all employees in the muster roll and you must maintain the muster rolls.

If you have fewer than 10 employees and therefore have only taken an intimation and not a license, then you don’t need to maintain records in the specified format. However, you need to maintain wage records, and all employees must be included in it.

If you are thinking of avoiding statutory dues by not showing some employees, then I would say it's a very bad idea.
