Are Directors/Managing Directors of a Company, employees under the Employees Compensation Act 2010 - since they are considered Employees under the ESIC Act?
The coverage as per the Employees Compensation Act 1923 is limited to the list of persons included in Schedule II of the Act. ESI Act and EC Act apply in alternative, where ESI Act applies, the EC Act is automatically excluded.
