No, both training programs do not come under soft skills training per se. While the training program on MS Excel will fall under "Functional Training," the training program on "How to Give a Presentation using PowerPoint" is part of "Presentation Skills." PowerPoint presentation is a tool, and learning how to use it itself cannot be considered soft skills training.
The training program on MS Excel would vary from one department to another. What is required for Accounts/Finance may not be needed for the Purchase Department, and the requirements of the Finance Department will differ from these two. Therefore, when selecting a trainer for MS Excel, it is important to understand the exact needs of the department before making a choice.
