Stuck in PF Transfer Limbo: How Can I Successfully Withdraw My Funds After a Mistake?

deepali kanade
I have worked with XYZ company, and I left the company 3 years ago. I want to withdraw my PF amount. I applied on the EPFO online portal, but mistakenly, I requested a transfer. When I contacted the concerned person, he advised me to cancel the request on my end and send an email to the company stating that I want to cancel the transfer request. I have now successfully canceled the request, and the portal status shows it was rejected by the employer.

I am now attempting to withdraw again, but the concerned person mentioned that I need to submit a fresh request for a transfer since I have to transfer my PF to my current employer before withdrawing the amount. It has been one and a half months, and I have not received any communication from my company. Could you please guide me on the next steps of the process?

Thank you.

Dear @Deepali, when attempting to withdraw or transfer funds, it seems that you are not receiving the appropriate response. Could you please share your current employment status, specifically whether you are employed by a company and contributing to a provident fund (PF)? If you are, then withdrawal settlement is not an option; instead, you must choose to transfer the funds.

Withdrawal is only possible if the member has been unemployed for more than two months.

Thank you.
