Career Shift from sales to HR - suggest me few names of institutions who provide practical training in HR

Dear All,

I would like advice regarding a career change. I am considering switching my career from sales to HR. I have completed my MBA in Human Resources (major) and Marketing (minor) and have 3 years of working experience in sales. Should I pursue this change? If so, could you suggest a few institutions that offer practical training in HR from employee entry to exit?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Why do you wish to change from Sales to HR? After acquiring three years of experience in Sales, if you shift to HR, it will be like putting the clock back by three years. Though you have an MBA in HR, you are starting with a clean HR slate. You will have to start writing ABC on it. Therefore, you may reconsider your decision.

Instead of transitioning to HR, why not consider diving into hardcore marketing? It is a logical progression from Sales to Marketing. As a salesperson, you must have experience in fieldwork, making you a suitable candidate to excel in marketing.

But Sir, in sales, I have been trying for the last 3 months, but I haven't gotten any job. Most sales jobs are either for IT sales or inside sales. Another point is that almost every recognized firm isn't willing to hire a person who is working on third-party payroll. I have knowledge of channel sales, FMCG sales GT, MT, etc.

It is always better to fight with a weapon that is already in your hand. Why do you want to fight with a weapon that is not in your hand or that has to be acquired? Better to grab an opportunity where you have some experience. Fresh MBA HRs will not be considered for regular employment in any company.

If you want to stick into the HR field, first you have to identify some companies offering internships or engage you as an HR trainee. In that case, you have to forego the three years you have already spent gaining work experience.
