As the CEO of a recruitment company, I won't say it is a good time so far for us, the recruiters. Negatives arise when we consider the lack of interviews, job fairs, offline placement trainings, and the inability to conduct 100% placement-assured online programs. Many industries are deciding to hold new hires for a minimum period of six months.
However, there are positives as well. Many companies may shift their focus towards digital marketing, leading to increased hiring opportunities in these fields. Sectors like private banking and insurance remain highly operational, with telephonic interviews already being conducted for upcoming positions.
Recruiters may need to concentrate on gathering local profiles due to restricted travel opportunities, a situation expected to continue for a significant period. Candidates are eager to seize any opportunities that come their way, given the uncertainty surrounding the post-COVID scenario.
Online and social media platforms can be effectively utilized by recruiters to communicate upcoming changes or HR strategies. Online training platforms are also very active.
