Dear friends,
I want to know which law should I take into consideration for making HR policies located in Maharashtra.
All 25 employees are on payroll.
The shop is registered under partnership act.
If anyone has a sample format of HR policies, request to please share.

You may not find anything specifically for a jewellery shop, but there is a ton of information about HR Polices posted here by other members. It is one of the most often posted requests.
Use the information in other posts to adapt and develop a set of policies for your specific business.

Dear Colleague,
You need to inform the nature of your business activity in Maharashtra ie is it manufacturing or commercial establishment?
HR policies are not prescribed under any Labour law but for framing the same, the relevant provisions under the applicable labour laws have to be taken into account.
Pending your clarification, it will be possible to make value addition to your query.

Some of the key laws to take into consideration when creating HR policies for a jewelry shop in Maharashtra include:

1) The Maharashtra Shops and Establishments Act, 1948: This law regulates the working conditions of employees in shops and commercial establishments, including rules around hours of work, holidays, and wages.
2) The Minimum Wages Act, 1948: This law sets minimum wage rates for different types of employment in Maharashtra, including for employees working in the jewelry industry.
3)The Payment of Bonus Act, 1965: This law mandates the payment of bonuses to employees who meet certain eligibility criteria.
4) The Maternity Benefit Act, 1961: This law provides for paid maternity leave and other benefits for women employees.
5) The Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948: This law provides for social security benefits such as medical care and cash benefits to employees and their families.
6) The Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952: This law mandates the creation of a provident fund for employees and provides for other benefits such as pension and life insurance.
