Guiding Policy for "Voluntary Salary Renunciation", during COVID 19 - Corona epidemic (when there is no production, no sale)

mlgsangeet
This is a difficult time. As humans, it is challenging for all of us. However, for businesses, it is even more difficult, especially for the "businessmen," HR department, and Finance department.

When there is no production or sales, how can there be collection or profit? How will the entrepreneur pay 100% salary to all workers and staff?

Senior and well-paid employees must have sympathy for their employer.

Both parties must work together so that the bottom rung of workers and junior staff can make ends meet.

Some of us have adopted a guiding policy in this regard; hopefully, it helps sensitize others. I fully agree that we will all be safer and richer if companies can continue operating. If the proprietor is exploited, nothing will be left.

Guiding Policy for "Voluntary Salary Renunciation":

- Up to 25K = nil
- 25K to 50K = 30%
- 50K to 100K = 40%
- 100K onwards = 50%

Model Letters/emails:

1. As my contribution to my company, which is my source of living, I seek to forego 30% of my Gross Salary from 21st March 2020 to 30th June 2020 (around 3 months). Kindly consider this as my contribution for the benefit of the workers in need.

2. During the Corona crisis, I volunteer to forego Rs 10,000 per month from my Gross Salary from 21st March 2020 to 30th June 2020 (around 3 months). This is my contribution to help those less fortunate.

3. During the Corona crisis, I volunteer to go on Leave by utilizing my Earned Leaves from ___ to ___. This is my contribution to support those in need.

4. As my contribution to help in the payment of salaries to workers in our factory and to assist my company during the Corona crisis, I seek to waive 30% of my salary from ___ to ___. I understand that my salary will revert to the existing amount from 1st July 2020.

5. As my contribution to support the payment of salaries to workers in our factory and to aid my company during the Corona crisis, I volunteer to go on Leave without pay from ___ to ___.
