What things are mandatory to include in payslip as per standard in Mumbai Maharashtra state

Hi Everyone,

Please advise and help me. I worked in a small company with under 10 employees in Mumbai, specifically in the Mira-Bhayandar area, as an IT Support Technician, basically handling user support. My employer informed me that he doesn't deduct TDS or provide PF or any benefits. He simply pays a fixed monthly salary such as 12K, 15K, 18K, or 20K to employees.

When I was hired, he mentioned he would pay me 20K per month, totaling 2,40,000 annually. I require a Payslip Format/Salary Slip Format without TDS and PF deductions, with only Professional Tax (PT) deduction of 200 per month in Maharashtra. Can anyone assist me or provide a sample of how my payslip should appear without any deductions except PT (200)?

I have been informed that Medical and Conveyance allowances are not necessary for the years 2019, 2020, and 2021. Therefore, what should my payslip format look like for the years 2019-2020-2021, based on a monthly salary of 20K and an annual salary of 2,40,000? I only need a basic payslip format, so kindly advise on the essential elements to include in the payslip as per the standard requirements in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Please advise. Thanks

As per the standard requirements in Mumbai, Maharashtra, a payslip should include the following mandatory elements:

- Employee Information:
- Name
- Employee ID
- Month and year of the payslip

- Employer Information:
- Company name
- Company address

- Salary Details:
- Gross salary: 20,000 INR
- Professional Tax deduction: 200 INR

- Tax Information:
- Professional Tax deduction details

- Total Earnings:
- Gross salary amount

- Deductions:
- Professional Tax deduction amount

- Net Salary:
- Gross salary minus Professional Tax deduction

Given that your employer does not deduct TDS or provide PF, the payslip format should reflect only the Professional Tax deduction. Ensure that the payslip clearly states the absence of TDS and PF deductions and accurately reflects the salary components.

For a basic payslip format without TDS and PF deductions, the above elements should be included to comply with the standard requirements in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This format will provide a clear breakdown of your salary and deductions, specifically highlighting the Professional Tax deduction as per your situation.
