OT hours calculation

Hi all,

Please help me in getting this issue resolved. If normal working hours are 8 hours per day, the OT payout calculation should be based on 8 hours or 6 hours per day.

To work out the ordinary hourly rate of wages, we have to divide the normal daily wages by the normal number of working hours per day. From that normal hourly rate of wages, we have to arrive at the O.T. rate. When you state that normal daily working hours are 8, why do you unnecessarily introduce 6 as a divider in the calculation?
