Minimum pension under Provident Fund

Of late, news have appeared in newspaper that EPFO is going to increase minimum pension from Rs.1000/- to Rs.2000/- (and to
Rs.3000/- also as Prime Minister has announced minimum pension to personnel working in unorganised sector).
Can anybody throw some light on the above development?

there are many news but only handful get converted into gazette notifications, so let the modifications get approved from cabinet and get published in gazette of india, then we can be in position of discussion

I would like to invite attention of experts in HR/Legal about the pension under EPF & MP Act, 1952. Any update on this?
