Labor licence renewal delay - need renewal letter format?

Could you please provide me with the format for renewing a labor license?

Factory license and labor license are altogether different. Mr. Sugan does not require the renewal of the factory license. In general, the Contract Labor License is considered a labor license in speaking terms. For the renewal of the Contract labor license, you have to go through the applicable state rules.

You are required to apply for an amendment in the license to the Licensing Officer of the area along with the difference in fee and security fees, if any, stating the nature of the amendment and the reasons thereof. Ensure that your Principal Employer should also have an RC for this number of Labour.

Where is your work? Whether it is under Central Govt or State Govt.

If it is under Central Govt, you need to apply for an amendment for a license on plain paper by attaching the original license and paying an additional security deposit at Rs. 90/- per worker. There is no need to pay the license fee as you might have already paid the maximum license fee of Rs. 375/-. Please note that no online facility is available in the Central Labour department for the renewal or amendment of the license.

If it is under State Govt, please contact the office from where you have taken the license. They will inform you about the required procedure because the procedure and rate of SD may vary from state to state.

If you want to apply for the renewal of a license under the Central Government, you need to submit an application in Form II as prescribed under the Rationalization of Forms and Reports under Certain Labour Laws Rules, 2017. You must submit the application by hand or through post as online facilities are not available with the central labor department for the renewal of a license. The renewal fee should be paid at the same rate as when you obtained the license if you apply one month before the license's expiry. Otherwise, you will have to pay a fee that is 25% more than the original fee paid by you.
