Night shift allowance UK - Should organisation give night shift allowance from 6 pm to 10 30 pm?

We work the 1:30 pm to 10:30 pm IST shift in India. Should the organization provide a night shift allowance from 6 pm to 10:30 pm? It's a UK company.

Payment of an allowance to employees who work the night shift is specific to the company's employee welfare. As far as labor laws are concerned, no law mandates that night-duty personnel should receive an allowance. Therefore, you may approach your company officials or the HR department and inquire about the night-duty allowance.

By the way, if the afternoon shift ends at 22:30 hours, then the employees are not working even half of the night. In that case, what makes them think they are eligible for the night-shift allowance?

Please confirm night shift allowances if the employees perform their duties from 3.30 pm to 1.30 am?
