Last Working Day for Employees Terminated With Notice Pay

Dear All
For relieved employees what date can be taken as last working date
X applied resignation on 30/11/2018 and he would not like to serve notice period but he is ready to pay a salary in lieu of Notice period , What will be his last working day (30/11/2018) or 30/12/2018 and if we issue him experience experience his period of employment will be (30/11/2018) or 30/12/2018 looking forward for helpful reply

The actual last day at work shall be considered as the last working day. in the aforesaid case, it will be 30th of nov.

The relieving date, or last day of working is decided by the employer, the employee has right to request the date of relieving however decision of the employer would be final, but the employer has to agree the date not beyond the completion of notice period date. Only in exceptional case with consent of employee the date of relieving can be extended beyond the notice period.
In case, employee has mentioned any specific relieving date and same has been accepted and agreed by the employer, it should be the date of relieving.
From information provided by you it seems that the employer is also willing to relieve him on the date of his request by adjusting the notice period against payment.
So the last working day/date of relieving would be 30.11.2018, and the experience/service certificate shall also mention 30.11.2018 as last day of work.

Just to share with you, don't let early relieving be a practice in your organization since rest of the employees will come to know that you have relieved this person early on the basis of notice pay. Besides the possibility / probable fact that employer also wanted an early relieving, if it turned out to be a trend in your organization, it will hamper the workflow and will lead to incomplete charge hand over.
I agree with the point mentioned above, that irrespective of the employee's request employer's decision on relieving is important.
