How can we handle if a company gives fake bad feedback about an employee?

RadhaMeera
Can anyone please suggest how can we know if our last company has blacklisted you or not? Because after getting a good response during the interview and not receiving a call later is quite shocking; it has happened multiple times. Can we know the process if a company has blacklisted you over some grudges? Like how can we know the truth behind it? Please suggest. Also, how can we handle fake bad feedback if a company gives about an employee? How can we find and handle it?

Please help!

Dear RadhaMeera,

In your case, you say that your performance in the interview went well, but you have not heard anything from the company thereafter. Your surmise is that they may have "blacklisted" you.

It is important to note that Background Verification (BGV) of an employee typically occurs upon joining. Therefore, it is unlikely that the company where you interviewed would check your credentials with your past company. While this could happen in rare instances, it is not the norm.

You mentioned that you believe your interview performance was good. However, consider the possibility that the company found a candidate whose performance was deemed "very well." Additionally, your perception of your interview may not align with the interviewer's perspective. Experienced interviewers may not show their reactions openly and could maintain a reserved demeanor.

Given these factors, I recommend continuing to pursue other opportunities. If you have been facing closed doors despite your efforts, it may be helpful to reassess your approach.

Have you sought feedback on your interview performance? Did you make a note of the questions asked and your responses? Have you verified the accuracy of your answers with a senior professional?

Thank you,

Thank you for your response. I have tried seeking feedback but have not received any replies. Following your suggestion, I will continue to improve my answers. However, I would like to have a clearer picture. What tools and processes can be used to determine if I have been blacklisted by any employer? Your assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Consult a fortune teller for such kinds of questions.

Possibilities are very slim as companies do not make efforts to verify during the interview stage.

You need to score and do better in your interview and work on your skills first.
