Hi all,

I worked at a company for 5 months and then I joined a new company. Can I transfer my PF account to the new company even though I only worked there for 5 months?

Dear,

Yes, you can transfer your previous EPF account and service details to your current EPF account. You can transfer through online - Member UAN Login. Make sure that the previous employer has seeded all KYC - Aadhar, PAN, and bank details and also marked EXIT. If KYC is not seeded, ask your previous employer to seed KYC and mark EXIT.

Alternatively, you can apply for a transfer through FORM 13. Fill out the form and provide it to your current employer; he will approve and submit it to RPFC. Please note that this process takes more time than the online process.

Is PAN verification mandatory for PF transfer? My PAN name does not match with UAN.

Yes, PAN, Aadhaar, and bank details verification are mandatory for the PF transfer.

For the transfer of EPF, the Aadhaar number must be seeded with UAN, and it should also have been verified by the employer. The Date of Exit is also mandatory.

As per concerns, PAN verification for the transfer of claims is not required. You can proceed with the application.

My suggestion is to ensure your name change is reflected on your PAN card. (All documents should have the same name.)

Once the Aadhaar and Date of Exit information is seeded, the following are the steps to transfer your PF account online through the Member UAN portal:

a. Kindly visit the Unified Portal (member interface - https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.g...mberinterface/). Log in with your credentials (UAN ID & Password).

b. Click on 'One Member - One EPF Account (Transfer Request)' under the 'Online Services' menu tab.

c. You then need to select and provide the details of your previous EPF account. You have the option to submit the online EPF transfer request to your ex-employer or current employer (for attestation). Provide the previous EPF No. in the respective field.

d. In the next step, click on 'Get OTP' to authenticate your online EPF transfer claim request. Note that an OTP will be sent to your UAN registered mobile number only. Enter the OTP and click on the 'Submit' button.

e. You are then required to submit the signed copy of the online PF transfer claim (PDF document) to the selected employer.

f. Your employer may then digitally approve your EPF transfer.
