Modification in UAN - Adhar number wrongly mentioned some other employee

chanda-devi-daga
At the time of the application of UAN No., Aadhar number was wrongly mentioned for a different employee. The UAN number allotted is linked to this Aadhar number. Initially, the Date of Birth was recorded as 05/02/1966, while the Aadhar card indicates the DOB as 19/02/1966. Every attempt to update the information results in a DOB mismatch error.

To correct the date of birth on your Aadhar card, use the Aadhar portal or visit an authorized service center. Once you have the updated Aadhar card, submit a joint declaration through your current management for correction in the PF Portal.

As far as I understand, you need to change the DOB of the employee in PF records as his Aadhar bears a different date. In such a case, the employee can either make the correction on the unified portal online or submit a joint declaration form at the EPFO.

It is simple to ask the employee to log in to the member portal. Modify basic details: update the name, DOB, gender, and Aadhaar number as per the Aadhar number and submit. It will appear in the employer portal for DSC verification. Once the employer verifies it, the department will make the same change. Note: if the DOB difference is less than one year, then only it works.
