Can a private limited company pay increment in misc head?

A private limited company can provide an increment in the miscellaneous head without increasing the basic pay.

Dear Nitin,

Yes, you can do that. The only thing that needs to be kept in mind is to follow the minimum wages set by the state for the components.

Thank you.

Can you provide me with any official papers regarding this?
Venkata Vamsi Krishna Patnaik
Hi Nitin,

The minimum wage gazette shall be released every year by the Labour Department. Please go through it.

Also, why does the company want to avoid showing it in the basic component?

In any case, the increase in an employee's pay should be recorded. The minimum wage is also increased annually, and on each such occasion, the company has to adjust it accordingly.

There is no such official paper. I am sure you must not have any official paper mentioning the increment amount to be added to the basic salary.
