Gaurav,
I hope you are an HR professional. Other than general HR activities, the HR's major role is a "CHANGE AGENT." Change is painful but inevitable; it is continuous. Therefore, in line with the changing world, organizations need to undergo a lot of changes. Failure to do so will result in the organization perishing as competitors take over.
Change should come from the people, by the people, and for the people. As a people-oriented HR professional, you need to take charge of the change. HR is responsible for changes in technology, people, processes, and more. As mentioned earlier, change is very painful, and people, including management, may resist it due to fear of failure and loss.
As a change agent, HR professionals face numerous obstacles and resistance, primarily from top management, senior professionals, and others in the organization. However, perseverance is key. A breakthrough is crucial, especially on the financial front. Once you succeed in adding value to the bottom line (profits), you will be accepted, appreciated, allowed, and followed.
Considering the above facts, you must be very specific about your first change initiative since it is a do-or-die situation.
Regards,
Kameswararao
