ESIC Claim in case of emergency - Should intimation letter be signed by the esic official?

I am a working member of an organization, which makes me an ESIC IP. Now, on 7th March 2018, I had to admit my father to an ESIC tie-up hospital in an emergency during the evening. The hospital provided me with an estimation letter for emergency treatment to obtain the referral letter from ESIC the next day, i.e., 08-03-18. During this time, I had to pay all the expenses incurred.

ESI sanctioned a referral letter on 8th March, and the treatment is still ongoing. On the third day of admission, the hospital gave me an intimation letter requesting approval for the treatment to be duly signed by ESIC (P.S. This was the first time I received this intimation letter; previously, a referral letter from ESIC would have sufficed).

My questions are:

1. Should this intimation letter be signed by the ESIC official? Is this a new process?
2. Can I claim the expenses for day one through ESIC? If so, how?

Hi,

Thank you for the links. I have gone through the links and learned that I can claim for reimbursement. However, there are no specific procedures listed on the website. Please let me know how this should be done.
