This is with reference to Karnataka govt wherein Minimum Wages has been revised for all employers covered under ‘Shops and Commercial Establishments’ vide notification dated 30-Dec-2017.

Please peruse Page #4. Apart from the minimum wages (Basic) as mentioned in the notification, VDA payable is Rs 367.20 till 31/03/2018.

Method of calculation of VDA:

2017 CPI Points: 6843-6537-306 Points

306 x 0.04 Paisa x 30 Days = Rs 367.20

Furthermore, effective from 01/04/2018, basic minimum wages will remain the same. However, VDA will change based on an increase in Consumer Price Index Points.
