I have a new responsibility to check statutory compliance of our vendors. Some of them are not paying PF of workmen saying their salary exceeds the ceiling limit. So, now the question for me is how to verify it? and what other documentation to ask to make my organization safe on compliance ground? If an organization doesn't want to register for PF those workmen whose salary exceeds ceiling limit, then what documents it has to submit to PF office to get this exemption?
