Hi,
I joined this startup travel company in February 2016. The parent company is a holdings company with our Dubai-based investor as one of the directors. The private limited company formed in India has three directors based in India who are involved in day-to-day operations. The private limited company is registered at an address in Pune and has offices in Mumbai and Pune with over 50 employees and consultants.
Throughout the last year, we experienced irregularities in receiving our salaries. Due to our relationship with the co-founders, we initially persevered, hoping that the situation would improve. However, since December 2016, we have encountered significant challenges in receiving our salaries. My salary for December was paid in three installments up to March 2017.
Since January 2017, we have not received any salaries. I have five months of outstanding salary in addition to a considerable reimbursement.
Whenever we contact the directors, they inform us that they are working on securing the funds. Despite multiple promises and deadlines, the money has not been disbursed yet.
What can be done about this situation with the company? How can we recover our unpaid salaries and other dues?
These six months without salaries have put us in a difficult position. We have struggled to pay housing loans and other EMIs. Some individuals have borrowed money from various sources, and everyone is enduring a challenging financial situation. There is a possibility that some of us may not be able to afford legal fees. However, they are willing to allocate a percentage of their future salaries towards legal expenses from any money obtained through legal action.
I need advice and recommendations for individuals in Mumbai who specialize in handling such matters effectively.
We are seeking justice.
