PMRPY - digital sign on PDF - invalid stream header 0D0A3C21

We are now registered with EPFO with effect from 01.04.2017 and are eligible to get benefits under PMRPY. We have registered with PMRPY, and finally, when trying to digitally sign the PDF, we get an error message "invalid stream header 0D0A3C21." Our Java version is updated. Help us to solve this issue.

Make sure your digital signature status is active on the EPFO portal. Only then will you be able to sign any PDF on the PMRPY portal.

I am not able to link the employees' UAN to PMRPY. I am getting an error that says "Date of joining not available for current or previous employment. Hence, the member cannot be registered for the PMRPY/PMPRPY Scheme."
