In my opinion, let me add to the above, the compliances required from your end on the above topic, are as follows:
1. PF - if the number of employees in a month (including new joiners and employees left and contract labour) exceeds 19 at any time during the month.
2. ESIC - if the number of employees exceeds 10 in a months
3. Shops and establishment (Labour Act)
4. Profession Tax registration for both Employer and employee and regular deduction of requisite amount and timely payment to the department
5. Any other Act if applicable for employing labour on contract basis.
