HOLIDAY LIST [Thread 547177]

Dear All,

I am preparing the National and Festival Holidays list for 2016. In this, 2 mandatory holidays (May Day & Gandhi Jayanthi) are falling on Sunday. Our employees request is since these holidays are falling on Sunday, which is a normal holiday, instead of that, to select other 2 holidays which fall on weekdays so that they do not lose 2 holidays.

So, my questions are:
1. Can I select other 2 holidays instead of May Day & Gandhi Jayanthi, which fall on Sunday, a regular holiday?
2. Can I select other 2 holidays instead of May Day & Gandhi Jayanthi and mention these under the list or at the bottom in a note that they fall on Sundays?
3. Or is it not possible?

Hi Santhosh,

As it is falling on Sundays, you have to select any other 2 holidays for any festival.

So whatever it may be, we have selected another two holidays to add to our list. Kkkk.

You can have two national holidays on other days, but clearly mention that these two days are falling on a Sunday. This is for example the 2016 calendar year only.

Do you have a union in your company?

Have you signed any settlement with the union?
