Hi Rajalaxmi,

Most importantly, you need to learn to read and understand the job description of the post required and the company's requirements.

To source candidates according to the JD, you can use job portals such as Naukri.com, Monster.com, TimesJobs.com, Shine.com, or by way of headhunting.

Follow up for the interview and conduct the preliminary interview. If you are a company employee, you have to prepare the application form, and the candidate has to fill it out.

Shortlist the candidates for the next round after the preliminary interview. There could be an aptitude test and a final round of interviews.

Finalize the salary, conduct reference checks, and then the selected candidates will have to submit the following documents:

- Resume
- Copies of educational certificates
- Offer/appointment letters
- Relieving/experience letter
- Passport-sized photos

Next, handle the joining formalities by providing an offer letter stipulating salary and other details, and conducting new joinees' induction process.

The candidate will report for work following these steps. These are some of the important points for recruiters in any company.
