Employee Background Screening Using PAN

Hi,
I have recently joined a bank in singapore as agency contract position may be 3 to 6 months. Now they are asking me PAN number for background verification. Is it possible to get previous income details from our IT department. Can some one advice please? Thanks

Previous Income details cannot be found out by your employer using PAN.

Thanks for your reply. I heard through some of my friends working in income tax dept. When back ground verification agency requests income details and tax filing details with pan number, they will give it to the agency or third party.
