Dear Friends,
The current company I work with has a notice period of 3 months, which is absolutely non-negotiable. I have lost several job opportunities because of this issue. I am considering resigning without having another job offer lined up due to various reasons. Firstly, my vice president (to whom I report) shows strong favoritism towards developers, leaving me, the only digital marketer in a team dominated by techies, feeling undervalued. In the 2.5 years that I have worked here, I have experienced minimal salary increases, lack of motivation, office politics, micromanagement, and an overall environment that is far from conducive.
Although my work is appreciated by my team in the US, with occasional appreciation emails, the lack of promotion, substantial salary hikes, or recognition makes the job seem thankless. I find it challenging to share these issues with our US team. During my recent appraisal, when I raised my concerns with my boss (the VP), he swiftly moved on to another topic without providing any meaningful response.
If I am unable to secure a job within these 3 months, my plan is to enroll in a course while continuing my job search. I would greatly appreciate any advice on the best course of action.
Thank you in advance.
Rishi
