Revised Gratuity

Hi,
My father took voluntary retirement from RSRTC after completing 30 years of service on 31 Oct 2009 and he got the gratuity amount as 3,50,000.
Is he eligible for revised gratuity amount i.e. 10 lacs and if YES than what is the procedure to claim that?

I don't know that under which act, gratuity for RSRTC is being paid. However if it is under Payment of Gratuity Act passed by Parliament, your father will not have any claim more than Rs. 3,50,000. Because as per this act, ceiling amount of gratuity is enhanced from Rs. 3,50,000 to Rs. 10,00,000 in May 2010.
